Adam W. Johnson Bio
Adam Johnson is a young ambitious educator with campus leadership experience and unlimited potential. Originally from the Midwest, Adam is a career changer that worked as a stock broker before eventually transitioning to education. He was trained in the Academy of Urban School Leadership, completing his masters and working 2 years on the Southside in the Chicago Public School system. He transitioned to Houston ISD in 2016 and has over 5 years of experience within education.
As a campus leader Adam is an excellent presenter with the ability to relate complex ideas and strategies, such as Culturally responsive teaching, Renaissance systems, and OnTrack navigation instructions.
Adam is a strategist that brings visions to fruition by solving complex problems involving people and community. For this reason he has served on a litmus of teams throughout his career including School Decision Making Committees, Attendance Committees, and the campus Safety Committee.
As a Data Driven leader Adam has made data integration in instructional planning a cornerstone of his own practice; addressing misconceptions systematically. He envisioned the weekly data labs he co-hosts on his campus where teachers come to learn how to navigate OnTrack reports, disaggregate data, and create assessments.
Lastly, Adam has an uncanny ability to develop the culture of any environment. He quickly resolves all issues with parents and colleagues through hard work, dedication, creativity, and a commitment to the development of the whole child. With students' whole growth as his focus he has organized large projects that develop campus culture like organizing 4th grade level college tours or facilitating grade level gardening projects.
