Lendora Johnson is a bright, compassionate young mother with meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills that are second to none.
Born and raised in Gary, IN, she attended Emerson School for the Visual and Performing Arts from 6th - 12th grade. While at Emerson she majored in vocal music, which awarded her the opportunity to travel and perform throughout the U.S. Attending a gifted and talented school played a major role in her growth and development and motivated her to pursue higher education. She went on to attend Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
While at IUPUI she was very active in many organizations, but her greatest act was her decision to rededicate her life to serving Christ. With a new focus and better discipline, she completed her B.A. in Sociology and later obtained her M.S. in Academic Advising from Kansas State.
As a first-generation college graduate she has dedicated her career to assisting individuals with college and career planning. She has worked 7+ years in various positions within education including non-profit education, high school, and college advising, teaching, and database/records management.
Lendora serves as the Secretary for The Lighthouse Guild for the Gifted. “Attending a GT school impacted my life outcome. Therefore, I am thrilled to take part in providing others with an educational experience that integrates a gifted and talented approach and I delight in the opportunity to further serve Christ in the area of education.
