Christopher Anderson was born into a large family in Indianapolis, IN. Growing up in a Baptist church he gave his life to Christ at a young age. Christopher saw first-hand some of the challenges that gifted students experience in the inner city. Excelling in mathematics and athletics he earned a near-perfect score on the Math SAT and went on to attend the prestigious DePauw University. As a first-generation college student, he was always passionate about service and gave back as a Bonner Scholar in undergrad. Ultimately, he went on to become a math teaching fellow through public allies, introducing him to the field of education and the inequities that lie there.
Determined to close the gap in education Christopher continued his education by earning his MA in Mathematics and Teaching from Earlham College. A strong advocate for equitable education for all students, he involved his students in community service and extracurricular activities. After inspiring many young people as a Highschool Educator and wrestling coach he has recently become a mathematics coach with aspirations of passing his knowledge and expertise on to the next generation of educators.
He is a proud member of the Lighthouse Guild for the Gifted board and brings a wealth of experience.
